cool new website — how do they do that?

The website is for the Japanese architecture firm called Small House Design Lab.  I have seen other websites with this layout before in Flash, but this seems like some new javascript or something.

If you know how this was constructed, I am all ears.

    Actually looks pretty simple. It’s all one giant html file (width:12000px;height:6300px). Uses a mootools plugin to achieve the “smooth scrolling” effect. http://davidwalsh.name/smooth-scroll-mootools
