Pint Night takeaway.

Posted in Design Events by lefav on September 10, 2009

Friends of the CCC.

Last nights pint night was another wonderful gathering of creative thinkers from many industries all across Sacramento. The city has definitely been alive with energy and passion lately. Events are going off all around us, new groups are starting, co-op’s are forming and the central city is buzzing with opportunity. This month we challenged our designers to come up with a design solution for empty plots of land around midtown.

Our brave young group of thinkers came up with outrageously fresh ideas. The over whelming theme of the evening was parkitecture, new playspaces and urban landscapes that engaged people in activity and social commerce. We saw giant slides, skateparks, homeless rehab centers, mixed use buildings and park monuments. An impressive mix of ideas for 5 minutes worth of pondering.

I look forward to assembling all these ideas and showcasing them as a body of work in the near future.
